Take-Two has a forum and a subreddit suspended

Following a data leak over the past twenty-four hours where GTA 6 seems to have been unveiled in a relatively early version, take two took action and temporarily shut down a forum and a subreddit. Spaces that shared links to this sensitive content.

It was difficult to pass by. Last weekend was marked by a leak of data on the web concerning the next GTA. And it quickly appeared that this data had a legitimate character by designating neither more nor less than a certain GTA 6.

Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games’ reaction was expected, and it was its parent company Take-Two Interactive that stepped up to the plate. She would have asked two of the largest online community spaces on GTA to remove any links leading to the leaked content.

GTA 6 leaked: GTAForums and the /r/GTA6 subreddit temporarily inaccessible

GTAForums, where the leak had started to be shared, has been made temporarily inaccessible at the thread level, with the following message listed:

“We have been contacted by Take-Two Interactive to remove copyrighted material from GTAForums. As usual with previous games, we will comply [à la demande] and this topic will be reopened in due course. Thank you for your understanding.”

A thread since restored but under lock. No more links leading to the leaked material can now be found there. At the top of the page it reads:

“All sensitive media in this thread has been hidden and the thread has been made public again for archival purposes.”

Same thing for the subreddit /r/GTA6, temporarily suspended with the following mention displayed:

“Due to legal issues, all GTA6 leaks and content are temporarily on hiatus until things are cleared up for us. Sorry for the inconvenience”.

A space that can now be consulted again, with the expressed request to no longer publish the famous content there:

“We are opening the subreddit on the condition that no one can post links, photos and videos of the recent leaks. This is done to prevent the subreddit from being obliterated by Rockstar Games.”
