Fall 2022 will be the season of the year. Indeed, big animes are expected, including part two of Spy x Family. After a first part which attracted everyone’s sympathy, the trailer for the second part was unveiled. And we can already remember that it promises to be explosive for the Forgers.
The Forger family at the heart of the Cold War
Spy x Family resumes from this 1er October on Crunchyroll. The spy series which deals with the life of a funny family, has offered a trailer revealing the main lines of this new part. The trailer begins with an assembly planning a coup against a member of Ostania’s government. The elaboration involves the use of dogs. Twilight is dispatched to thwart this attack, which could damage relations between East and West.
The trailer continues with our Anya alias Miss Peanuts who meets a dog capable of predicting the future. According to her predictions, Twilight will lose her life trying to stop the terrorists. Yor is also in the spotlight. We see her in two situations: the first protecting Anya, and the second in the company of Twilight to whom she is serving a meal. The trailer allows us to discover the opening credits of part two “Souvenir” performed by the Japanese rock band Bump Of Chicken.
A spy, an assassin and a telepath
Spy x Family brings us into the Forger family. This family is made up of Loid Forger, a psychiatrist, his wife Yor, assistant to the town hall, and their six-year-old daughter Anya. But under its ordinary appearances, the family is artificial. In reality the father is Twilight a spy on a mission, the mother is Princess Ibara a ruthless assassin and Anya is a telepathic orphan. Each adult is unaware of the true identity of the others. But Anya is aware of it, and takes pleasure in being in the middle of the action.
The manga was created in 2019 by Tatsuya Endo. After three one-shots well received by readers of Shōnen Jump+, Endo embarked on the production of his manga. Today, nearly 25 million copies are in circulation. As for the anime, it was worked on by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Hunter x Hunter 1999). If you like spy anime, with a funny tone and facial expressions, find the twelve episodes of part 1 on Crunchyroll.
