Honor just unveiled a new mid-range phone. the X40 has a curved AMOLED display12 GB of RAM and many other components as interesting as each other.
The Chinese firm launched the X40i a few months ago. As if this model were not enough, the X40 has just been made official in China. At least that’s what Fonearena says. The smartphone sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel which has the particularity of being curved at 45 degrees on both sides. This design gives the Honor X40 a breathtaking charm that will certainly delight those who are looking for a stylish device. We also know that the screen has a Full HD+ resolution as well as a refresh rate up to 120Hz. It is punched to accommodate the front camera.
Speaking of the capture part, know that the manufacturer has provided an 8 million pixel front camera.
Android 12 in command
At the back, the Honor X40 is equipped with a dual photo module with the sensors and the flash arranged in a black circle which gives the backside an appearance worthy of a high-end product. The compartment notably houses a 50 MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, while the second lens has a resolution of 2 MP with f/2.4 aperture. It is interesting to note that this new product from the Chinese firm offers an in-screen fingerprint reader.
On the processor side, the X40 has a Snapdragon 695 chip. Engraved in 8nm, it has two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Kryo 560 cores with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz. It also contains a Adreno 619L GPU. The software component is served by Android 12 with MagicUI 6.1 overlay. We will also highlight the presence of the Honor Histen 7.0 sound effect for an extraordinary sound reproduction.
Up to 256 GB of internal storage
In addition, this new dual SIM smartphone signed Honor offers several configurations to choose from in terms of memory. For the RAM, the buyer can choose between 6GB, 8GB and 12GB capacitieswhile for internal storage, two options are available: 128 GB or 256 GB. The Honor X40 houses a 5100 mAh battery compatible with wired fast charging at 40 watts. Measuring 162.9 × 74.5 × 7.43 mm and weighing 175 grams, it supports protocols Bluetooth 5.1 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Of course, 5G connectivity is there.
The X40 is offered in three colors: silver, green and black. As for the price, it fluctuates between 1499 yuan (~214 dollars for the least capable version) and 2,299 yuan (~328 dollars for the most powerful variant). The device is already available for pre-order in China for a delivery from September 23, 2022. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet if it will be released in Europe.
