Charlie Cox made an impression in the role of Daredevil. It was in 2015 that we were able to discover him in the skin of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. And for three years, he played the famous vigilante in the Netflix series Daredevil. Unfortunately, it was canceled after three seasons, much to the chagrin of MCU fans!
Fortunately, Marvel has decided to bring the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen back to the fore. In May 2022, it was announced that he will return in a new series titled Daredevil: Born Again. Following this announcement, debates began to emerge on the web.
MCU fans wondered in particular if the series was going to serve as season 4 for Daredevil or if it was going to be a reboot.
Charlie Cox takes stock
Charlie Cox recently spoke about this in an interview with Extra. The actor then revealed that Daredevil: Born Again will not be a season 4. According to him, this series will mark a new beginning for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
“It’s a season 1, it’s not a season 4, so it’s something really new. And I think that’s the best thing to do. If you have to do it again, do it differently,” did he declare.
What can we expect?
For now, the plot of Daredevil: Born Again remains a mystery. You should know, however, that the title of the series evokes that of a comic released in 1986 and designed by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. In this book, Daredevil’s true identity is brought to light. Following this, Matt Murdock finds himself at the heart of a manhunt. We therefore wonder if Daredevil: Born Again will remain faithful to the comics.
So far, we know that the series will bring Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), aka Kingpin, back. Marvel has already prepared the return of this character through a cameo in Hawkeye. Matt Murdock, meanwhile, made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
And soon, we can see him again in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
