The Lord of the Rings Hobbits defend the series against racism

Rings of Power represents a new stage for the mythology of Lord of the Rings. The series takes place 7000 years before the films of Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit) during the Second Age in Middle-earth. The story notably follows the creation of the famous rings of power. Spectators will also discover during 5 announced seasons the rise of a certain Sauron.

The opportunity to discover the last alliance between Elves and human beings with an intrigue sublimated by an enormous budget, undoubtedly the largest of a television production. Despite the good reception of the first two episodes, as you can imagine, some viewers do not mind to make racist comments online.

The reason for their anger? Dark elves, just that. A controversy already present even before the broadcast of the Rings of Power now reinforced by a review bombing on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic.

Faced with this controversy, the original cast of Lord of the Ringsthe Peter Jackson franchise, speak online.

These tweets are accompanied by the message: You are all welcome here “. Whatever your skin color, the actors of the Lord of the Rings welcome you! Something to send a message to haters while supporting the cast… who responds in the comments by thanking the actors!
