Released on Netflix on July 29, Our bruised hearts continues its dazzling breakthrough in the Netflix rankings. It is also the most viewed film on Netflix in France this summer.

2 The Gray Man (2022) Number of views : 38,900,000

The CIA recruits Kurt Gentry aka Sierra Six who has been serving a sentence for murder since 2003. Under the code name ”Gray Man”, he is recruited to eliminate a high-profile target. Later, the man learns that he has just killed the former Sierra Four and he now has information that threatens the secret Sierra program. Refusing to hand over the map to his superiors, Gentry in turn becomes a target not only for former colleagues, but also for elite mercenaries, the most dangerous of whom is the fearsome Lloyd Hansen.

A $200 million budget, an all-star cast, explosions and drone footage to film breathtaking scenes…The Gray man was made to be the action movie of the summer. The bet is successful. In fact, by imposing itself in this top 10 Netflix for the 3rd consecutive week, the Russo Brothers film confirms its honeymoon with the audience.

3 Uncharted (2022) Number of views : 20,650,000

Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) are two adventurers in search of the greatest treasure in the world. So they embark on a most epic adventure. But the other challenge of their journey is to find clues that will lead them to Nathan’s brother who has long since disappeared without a trace.

Produced by Sony, the feature film brings together an attractive cast with big names of the moment as well as a substantial budget which guarantees major action scenes. It is therefore a pretentious action film that makes its first foray into this top 10 for the first time.

4 Wedding Season (2022) Number of views : 18,600,000

Asha (Pallavi Sharda), eldest daughter of her family, lives under constant pressure from her parents who want to see her married. Her mother thinks she’s about to waste her life if she doesn’t spend more time on her private life than on her new startup. Together with his single colleague Ravi (Suraj Sharma) who is under the same pressure from his parents, they set up a scheme to pretend that they are in a relationship. As time passes, the two colleagues begin to have real feelings for each other.

Wedding Season has all the characteristics of the summer romance that is a hit on Netflix: great alchemy between beautiful actors, a simple script, a plot tied around a heartache and a predictable and satisfying outcome. Besides these aspects, the film romanticizes Indian marriages while questioning certain aspects of this still very traditional society.

5 The Sea Monster (2022) Number of views : 14,340,000

Orphan Maisie Bramble dreams of becoming a hunter of the sea monsters that killed her parents. Brave, the young girl sneaks into the ship commanded by the legendary monster hunter Captain Crow, and embarks on an incredible adventure in uncharted waters.

The Sea Monster is an American animated adventure film by the creator of the cartoons ”Big Hero 6” and ”Moana” Chris Williams. After leaving Netflix for Disney, Williams began development on this animated film which was supposed to be titled ”Jacob and the Sea Monster”. However, since its release in its current form, the work has met with notable audience success on Netflix, as evidenced by its sixth appearance in this ranking.

6 Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) Number of views : 11,320,000

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will have to test his strength to the maximum. But for the moment, the young man grants himself a time of rest during an excursion in Europe when he is surprised by the visit of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). At the same time, the journey is interrupted by several villains who appear in emblematic cities of the continent; London, Paris and Venice. Peter will have to save European architectural monuments with the mysterious superhero Mysterio.

John Watts’ film is the 23rd production in the Marvel Universe. It reveals a Peter Parker more committed than ever, in love with his classmate, MJ (Zendaya), always trying to hide who he is.

7 Adalin (2015) Number of views : 9,340,000

Adaline Bowman is a young woman born in the 20th century who, after a car accident, has stopped aging. Despite her long life, Adaline was never able to find a loved one. As the years pass, she finally meets a man for whom she is ready to become mortal again and grow old with him.

Directed by the young Lee Toland Krieger with Blake Lively in the title role, this plot tells the life of Adaline; a young woman born on the first day of 1908. The feature film is simple but touching with an original story, a nostalgic touch and a touching romance.

8 The Central Park Heist (2011) Number of views : 8,700,000

Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) has been scammed by a crooked financier who lives in a luxurious apartment on the top floor of a New York skyscraper. To get his money back, the man teams up with some friends and they plan a big heist. Seeking support, they turn to a hardened criminal; Slide (Eddie Murphy). The group plans to sneak into the financier’s penthouse in order to steal $20 million.

Tower Heist (Central Park Heist) by Brett Ratner is the typical example of a light heist film that favors comedy over drama and calibrated action scenes. Just judging by its cast (Murphy, Stiller), we can guess we’ll have a great time. And that, Netflix streamers seem to have understood.

9 Men in Black 3 (2012) Number of views : 8,680,000

Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones), despite the many joint missions they have carried out, have not always been close. But when alien criminal Boris the Animal escapes, travels back to 1969 and kills K, Agent J must travel back in time to save Earth and his partner’s life.

If 5 years have passed between the first two parts of the saga Men in Black, it took 10 years for the trilogy to be completed. But this film released in 2012 was, from the critics’ point of view, the most disappointing of the franchise. What does it matter! The feature film is making a strong comeback on Netflix and is carving out a good audience share with just over 8.5 million views this week.

10 All On Stage 2 (2022) Number of views : 7,950,000

In Sing 2, the koala Buster Moon and his cast of star animals prepare to launch a Redshore-exclusive performance; self-proclaimed capital of universal entertainment glamour. There’s only one hurdle in these artists’ path: they must find and persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star, Clay Calloway, to join them. But convincing the latter to return to the stage will not be an easy task.

This week marks the 8th time that All on stage 2 appears in the top 10 of Netflix. The animated film directed by Garth Jennings and produced by Universals Studios is a real breath of fresh air for the biggest streaming site in the world struggling.
