In December 2020, Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel, announced the arrival of the Ironheart series. Dominique Thorne will be featured in this show dedicated to Riri Williams, aka Ironheart. This series will be part of Phase 5 of the MCU. And if all goes as planned, it should land on Disney+ in the fall of 2023.
Before that, MCU fans will be able to get a glimpse of Riri Williams this year. Indeed, this character will have an important place in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which will be released in November 2022.
Filming for Ironheart began last May. And it should take next October.
Anthony Ramos as the villain
A few days ago, images from the filming of Ironheart surfaced online. On this one, we can see the actor Anthony Ramos dressed in a red cape. It did not take more for fans of the MCU to conclude that he will play the villain of the series.

Indeed, according to them, his costume corresponds to that of Parker Robbins, alias The Hood. In the comics, this character is a petty criminal from New York City who gained powers after stealing the demon Nisanti’s boots and cape. Basically, the story of The Hood is not intimately linked to that of Ironheart. His presence in the Marvel series is therefore very intriguing.
What does Ironheart have in store for us?
Riri Williams is a little genius from MIT who decides to take inspiration from Iron Man to build his own armor. His goal is to carry on the legacy of Tony Stark after his death in Avengers: Endgame.
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we know that Riri Williams will start building her armor. The latter will do so with the help of Shuri, played by Letitia Wright. Therefore, the Ironheart series should start with a Riri Williams already equipped with her armor. According to new images that have emerged on the web, The Hood could well be the first major villain that Riri will face in the show.
Given that Ironheart will be released before Avengers 5 and 6, Riri may well have a bigger role in the MCU.
