The Walking Dead made history on the small screen. Originally broadcast in 2010, this series inspired by the comics of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard is now in its eleventh season. This will also be the last.
There are still eight episodes left in Season 11 of The Walking Dead before the show really comes to an end. Over the seasons, the show has brought back certain deceased characters in the form of dreams or hallucinations. This is particularly the case of Abraham Ford, played by Michael Cudlitz.
On the other hand, if there is a character who is not likely to return in the last episodes of The Walking Dead, it is Glenn Rhee, the character interpreted by Steven Yeun.
An unthinkable return
Glenn is a character that was very popular with The Walking Dead fans. The latter died in episode 1 of season 7. He had then succumbed to the blows of Lucille, Negan’s baseball bat, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Since then, Glenn has never reappeared on the show. And that is not likely to change. This was confirmed by Steven Yeun while appearing on Conan O’Brien’s show, Conan Needs a Friends. The actor was then in full promotion of his film Nope.
A closed door
During this show, Conan O’Brien asked Steven Yeun if The Walking Dead had killed him or if his departure was due to a desire to leave the show. The actor then responded by stating that it was ” complicated. »
“Sometimes you just have to accept things as they are. There’s no tension behind it. »
Steven Yeun pointed out that Glenn met the same fate in the Robert Kirkman comics.
“I was like, ‘OK. I’m not going to scream and punch my fist. »
The actor then went on to say that for him The Walking Dead page was definitely turned.
“Sometimes people call out to me and say, ‘Man, wouldn’t it be so cool if Glenn came back in a movie to show his origins? And I say, “No, that would be horrible.” It was so long ago. I was another person. I don’t think I could go back there. »
