At the house of AGON by AOC, a new gaming monitor has just been announced. It is a high-end model that bears the name U28G2XU2. In fact, we are dealing with a screen 28 inches in 16:9 format which has an IPS Ultra HD panel. The device supports a definition of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Its response time is only 1 ms.
The U28G2XU2 supports Adaptive Sync, FreeSync Premium and DisplayHDR 400 technologies. Also note the support for several technologies to reduce visual fatigue, which will be useful during long gaming sessions: Flicker Free (to reduce flickering), Low Blue Light (to reduce blue light emissions) and anti-glare technology.
Apart from that, the device offers a brightness of 370 cd/m2 and a contrast of 1000:1. Its viewing angles are 178/178°. Its connectivity consists of two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 and a headphone audio output. A hub with 4 USB ports completes the set, as well as a pair of speakers (2 x 3 Watts). The stand of the screen is height adjustable and it is possible to swivel and tilt the screen according to one’s needs.
The U28G2XU2 display will be commercially available soon. According to the manufacturer, it should arrive in stores during the month of July. In terms of price, it will be necessary to count on 799€ to acquire this little gem. Admittedly, it’s not cheap, but given the features and high-end features offered (see details here) it seems amply justified.
